AMD Ryzen 7 4800U and Intel Core i7-1165G7 clash on 3DMark 11

Tum Apisak compared Intel Core i7-1165G7 and AMD Ryzen 7 4800U in 3DMark 11. The final 3DMark score between the two unlikely rivals is surprisingly close, with the Tiger Lake-U part scoring 6,211 points and the Renoir chip just ahead on 6,331 points (+1.9%). Although both processors are based on a 15 W TDP by default, there is a great difference in cores and threads, which can decide the results in CPU-heavy tasks. The Intel chip has four cores and eight threads, while the Ryzen 4000 APU has eight cores and 16 threads. The AMD Ryzen 7 4800U scores 12,494 points in the Physics Score compared to 8,028 for the Tiger Lake-U chip, a difference of 55.6%…as the Renoir processor has 100% more cores over Intel. The Intel Core i7-1165G7 actually leads in the overall Graphics Score: 6,218 points vs. 6,104 points (+1.9%).
