[Question] Micro-ATX or ATX- Which Form-Factor is Right for Me?

Hello members,

I’m looking to upgrade my PC (i5 6600, GTX 1060), and I’ve always just stuck with ATX mobo’s but seeing how cheap you can get a decent Micro-ATX mobo intrigues me. I mean, if I’m only going to be using 2 ram slots and 1 PCIe slot anyway. Is there any point in going to ATX?

They don’t have as many expansion slots as ATX. But if you don’t have a need for all the extra slots, then why not save some money and maybe even build in a more compact case.

Micro ATX boards range from the most cut down boards available up to completely full featured boards (minus a few PCIe slots). Just depends on how much you want to spend and what features you really need.
